My favorite part? The peaceful setting
From the moment you step in, the stress melts away. You’ll see cabins that look like they popped out of Pinterest, paths lined with trees and flowering shrubs, and these cartwheel-inspired garden tables that make every meal feel like a picnic. And at night? The whole place lights up with warm fairy lights, giving off a soft, magical glow.
This isn’t a place for loud crowds. It’s for people who want to reset. You know, like us … burned-out workers, freelancers, digital nomads, and couples looking for a quiet escape.

The cabins are a vibe
I stayed in the Triangle House Cabin, which has this charming cabin aesthetic with a surprise loft area. The interior was simple but had everything I needed. Aircon worked great. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was clean. Small things that made a big impression.
If you’re into something a little more extra, check out the Glass Pyramid. It looks like a modern art piece in the middle of the woods. Picture floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for watching the trees while you’re soaking in your indoor tub. Yup, I was impressed too.

What to do at Floating Sanctuary Resort?
This is not a jam-packed activity resort. It’s a chill spot where doing nothing is the plan. But if you’re the type who needs a little motion, here’s what you’ll enjoy.
There’s a clean, spacious swimming pool with areas for both adults and kids. I lounged there for hours. I also took a quiet walk around the garden, ended up on a hanging bridge overlooking the river, and sat by the water just listening to the wind in the trees.

If you’re visiting with family or friends, the gazebos are perfect for afternoon catch-ups and snacks. There’s also a small fishing area, a playground for kids, and a mini bar if you’re in the mood for something cold and fizzy.
Don’t miss the photo spots
Every corner here looks like it’s made for Instagram. From the wooden directional signs with quirky phrases to the night lighting that turns the whole path into a warm-lit wonderland. Even the seating areas — like the round wooden tables and garden benches made from cart wheels — add personality to your photos.
The Floating Sanctuary Resort Bulacan is definitely a hidden gem when it comes to Bulacan weekend getaways.

Nearby attractions if you want to explore
Santa Maria Church is just a short ride away … a stunning Baroque-style church with major heritage appeal. And if you’re craving more things to do nearby, there’s plenty: explore the serene Shrine of Saint Andrew Kim Taegon (a Korean-inspired Catholic shrine in Lolomboy, Bocaue) for a peaceful and unique spiritual stop, check out some of the most IG-worthy cafes in Bulacan for coffee and desserts, or spend a leisurely morning at Garden Zoo & Park in Bocaue surrounded by nature and animals.
Honestly though? I didn’t leave the resort during my entire stay. I had everything I needed right there.
Food and drinks
The resort has its own restaurant where you can grab classic Pinoy meals and refreshing drinks. Nothing too fancy, but comforting and filling. I’d still recommend bringing your own snacks for the in-between times, especially if you’re a midnight muncher like me.
Also, that mini-fridge in the room? It has a homemade menu with drinks and snacks. I love touches like that. It felt personal, like someone actually thought about what guests might want late at night.

How to book your stay at Floating Sanctuary Resort
Booking is easy. I used Agoda because I saw a great deal for weekday stays. You can also contact them directly via Facebook, phone, or email. The staff respond fast and are very helpful.
Just a heads-up: once your booking is confirmed, it’s non-refundable and non-rebookable. So make sure your schedule is set before locking it in.
Check-in starts at 2 PM and check-out is at 12 noon. There’s a ₱2,000 security deposit upon arrival. And yes — pets are allowed. That alone deserves a round of applause. Just bring everything your furry companion needs, because the resort doesn’t offer pet supplies.

Final thoughts — would I come back?
Absolutely. This resort checks so many boxes for me. It’s quiet. It’s cozy. It’s affordable. It’s surrounded by nature. And it’s only a short drive from Manila. Whether you’re going with your barkada, your partner, your family, or even just yourself, Floating Sanctuary Resort in Santa Maria Bulacan is the kind of place you’ll want to return to.
There’s nothing loud or flashy here. Just warm hospitality, cool rooms, beautiful gardens, and the kind of stillness that makes you breathe deeper. It’s perfect for anyone who needs to slow down, even just for a night or two.
So if your idea of a great weekend is sipping coffee while listening to birds instead of alarms, Floating Sanctuary might just be your next favorite staycation.
