Last weekend, I hit that point—you know, when Manila heat makes you question your life choices. I needed a break, fast. Somewhere not too far, not too expensive, and definitely with water. That’s when Amana Waterpark Bulacan came to my rescue. Just under two hours from Metro Manila, this place is a full-on water wonderland—complete with waves, superheroes, dinosaurs, and good vibes.

A Little Backstory: From Rice Field to Water Kingdom
So here’s something cool—Amana Waterpark didn’t just pop up out of nowhere. The owner, Mr. Roque, had already opened a smaller resort in Zambales, but he had bigger dreams. He bought an 8.4-hectare rice field in Pandi, Bulacan, visited around 50 resorts for inspo, and nine months later—boom! Amana was born in March 2009.
Today, it’s a massive 14-hectare waterpark that can welcome up to 13,000 people. Yup, that’s not a typo. Thirteen. Thousand. Imagine a whole barangay having the time of their lives in one place.

What Makes Amana Waterpark a Total Standout
Let’s be real, there are tons of waterparks near Metro Manila. But Amana Waterpark Bulacan brings a different kind of splash. Here’s why:
Giant Wave Pool
Their wave pool is no joke—it’s 3,500 square meters of pure fun. With 13 types of waves, it’s like surfing without the saltwater. One minute you’re floating, next minute you’re on a mini rollercoaster of water. It’s even dubbed the biggest wave pool in the Philippines. And honestly? It feels like it.
Life-Sized Characters for Days
Ever wanted to chill beside Hulk or strike a pose with Iron Man? Amana’s got over 100 life-sized characters scattered around. We spent way too much time taking selfies and laughing like little kids. And yes, they’re Instagram gold.

Adventure Meets Chill
Whether you’re more the zipline thrill-seeker or team hammock-and-sunblock, Amana’s got both worlds. There’s even a 4D Extreme Maxrider ride if you want to test your heart rate. Or just grab a cold drink, kick back in a cottage, and enjoy the breeze.
Day Tour!
We left Manila early to dodge the weekend crowd. The plan? Catch a bus to Sta. Maria, hop off at Waltermart, then trike our way to Amana. Easy.
The moment we walked in, the Amana Waterpark wave pool was already calling my name. And wow—those waves hit! It was like being in a fun, slightly chaotic ocean. My friend tried to body surf one… she failed gloriously, but the laughter? Worth it.

Later, we explored the Jurassic zone (yes, there’s a Jurassic zone). Full-sized dinosaurs, sound effects, the whole shebang. One T-Rex actually roared, and I swear even the grown-ups freaked out in the best way. It was like stepping into a live movie set.
