Sometimes, the best discoveries happen when you least expect them. That’s exactly what happened to me when I found out that you don’t need to travel all the way to Baguio just to get your hands on fresh, locally grown strawberries. Believe it or not, Reyes Strawberry Farm in Bulacan has been thriving for almost more than ten years now, bringing the sweet taste of strawberries closer to home.

A Surprise April Discovery
April 1st (and no, this isn’t a prank) was the day my family and I stumbled upon this hidden gem. We love spontaneous road trips, and this time, fate led us to Reyes Strawberry Farm in Calumpit, Bulacan. Who would’ve thought that Bulacan—a place famous for chicharon and fireworks—would soon be known for strawberries too?

How to Get to Reyes Strawberry Farm
This charming farm is located at Purok 2 Calumpang, Calumpit, Bulacan, along Longos Road. Here’s how you can get there:
By Commute:
- Take a Five Star bus from Cubao bound for Calumpit, Bulacan (Fare: Around ₱60).
- Get off at Brgy. Calumpang (Landmark: Don Benito’s and Enlin’s).
- Hop on a pedicab (₱20 per head) and tell the driver to drop you off at Reyes Strawberry Farm.
By Private Car:
- From Manila, take NLEX and exit at Tabang.
- Drive straight past Malolos Crossing and CEU Malolos until you reach Brgy. Calumpang, Calumpit (Landmark: Don Benito’s and Enlin’s).

What to Expect at Reyes Strawberry Farm
As soon as you enter, you’re greeted by vibrant flowers and the iconic “I ❤️ REYES FARM” sign—perfect for that Instagram-worthy shot! Bitoy Borja and Elmo Malimbag, the farm caretakers, are always around to assist visitors and answer any questions.
Now, let’s set expectations. This isn’t a sprawling farm like the ones in La Trinidad, Baguio. It covers 4 hectares with about 300,000 strawberry plants. But what it lacks in size, it makes up for in charm.
Aside from strawberries, the farm features a mini zoo with rabbits, parrots, and even monkeys. You’ll also find grapes, dragon fruit, rambutan, eggplants, and tomatoes—not exactly the easiest crops to grow in Bulacan, yet they flourish here! There are also lots of flowers and shrubberies.

The Best Time for Strawberry Picking in Bulacan
Pro tip: Call ahead before you go! Reach Reyes Strawberry Farm at 0935 126 8515 to check if strawberries are ready for harvesting. We made the rookie mistake of visiting out of season, so no fresh strawberries for us.
For the best experience, visit in December, when most of the strawberry plants start bearing fruit. Strawberries take 8 to 9 months to bloom, so timing is everything!
Can You Pick and Buy Strawberries?
Absolutely! If you visit during harvest season, you can experience strawberry picking in Bulacan. While prices vary, there’s something so satisfying about picking your own fresh strawberries.
Want to grow your own? The farm sells strawberry plants for ₱300 each, no minimum order required!
Is There an Entrance Fee?
Nope, it’s FREE! The Reyes family believes in promoting agri-tourism in Bulacan, so they welcome visitors at no cost.

More Than Just Strawberries
Reyes Strawberry Farm offers more than just fresh berries. It also has:
- A cabana and private pool for special occasions
- A variety of beautiful flowers that make the farm extra picturesque
- A serene, nature-filled environment that’s perfect for unwinding
Bulacan is already home to several agro-tourism hotspots like San Miguel, San Ildefonso, and San Rafael, and now, Reyes Strawberry Farm is joining the list. Whether you’re a nature lover, a foodie, or just someone looking for a unique weekend getaway, this farm is definitely worth the visit.

Final Thoughts
Reyes Strawberry Farm is proof that the best surprises are sometimes closer than you think. It may not be as grand as Baguio’s strawberry fields, but it has its own unique appeal. Plus, visiting means supporting local farmers and Bulacan’s growing agri-tourism scene. So, if you’re up for a sweet adventure, why not try strawberry picking in Bulacan? It’s a win-win—you get fresh strawberries, and you help local tourism thrive!
